Nothing beats a cinematic adventure of epic proportions to connect you with a new place and motivate you to plan a trip that will make your friends jealous. From emotional classics to recent romantic novel adaptations, films and television shows tend to arouse a desire for freedom, excitement, and romance.

Seeing images of gorgeous mountains on your television or witnessing a couple of friends embark on life-changing adventures in a big city makes you want to feel free to travel across the world. Whatever it is, sometimes all it takes is a movie night or binge-watching a television show to elicit that emotion. So, here’s a list of movies and TV series that will make you want to hit the road. They may inspire you to act or set the setting for an extraordinary adventure.

“Yellowstone”

Yellowstone is a Paramount drama show that ranks among the greatest on television. In this drama series, Kevin Costner plays John Dutton, the father of a wealthy and complicated ranching family. John Dutton has the largest continuous ranch in the United States.

Dutton’s estate is surrounded by a growing town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park, constantly in conflict with all of them. Yet, despite the Dutton family’s challenging conditions and turmoil, the beautiful love story of Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Rip (Cole Hauser) is one viewers can’t get enough of and has positioned them as the hottest pair on TV at the moment.

Everything in the narrative is engaging and enjoyable for its viewers. However, one more point is worth mentioning: Montana’s wildness provides a stunning setting that makes spectators wish they were there. Fortunately, the Yellowstone show experience is available to everyone; the Dutton Ranch near Darby, Montana, provides cabins for rent. The stunning scenery depicted as the Dutton family ranch is the real-life Chief Joseph Ranch, and Lee Dutton’s (Dave Annable) and Rip’s cottages are among the places you may stay. Renting these places is a good value for fans because it includes a tour of the ranch and filming locations.

“Mack & Rita”

Mack & Rita begins on a bachelorette trip to Palm Springs when Mack (Diane Keaton) tries a regression tank to convert her into a 70-year-old lady. Although, after this event, Mack presents as her Aunt Rita and the world immediately accepts her as a senior Instagram influencer.

So, as Aunt Rita, Mack begins a few days of activity with a calendar of activities exhibiting gorgeous sites and the cultural and laid-back attitude that only Los Angeles can provide. After viewing this entertaining film, if you believe that an experience in the entertainment capital is what you need on your next holiday, you may begin by reserving your lodging in downtown Culver City, close to all the City’s action. Then, since the Pilates studio that Aunt Rita visits is permanently closed, you can attend a yoga session at Alo Yoga, where you can even meet celebs like Claire Danes and Katherine Schwarzenegger.

And to taste the large shrimp Rita eats on her date with much younger neighbor Jack (Dustin Milligan), go to The Galley Restaurant, which serves terrific fried jumbo shrimp. Also, if you like vintage apparel, add Lemon Frog Shop to your agenda, where Rita and her best friend Carla (Taylour Paige) locate adorable bridesmaids’ outfits. Finally, after a morning of shopping, head to Tacos Delta on Sunset Blvd. for their immaculate chilaquiles. Mack & Rita is now streaming on Hulu.

“And Just Like That”

New York City’s Sex and the City (now And Just Like That) experience is the perfect girls’ weekend vacation, so round up the gals and order cocktails. Fans of Sex and the City were treated to a new series on HBO Max called And Just Like That.

As a result of the tv show’s massive success, a well-known bus tour called Sex and the City has been set up to recreate the show in its entirety. It has been updated to incorporate several references to And Just Like That. You may now easily arrange a vacation like Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie Bradshaw and her pals. Bradshaw’s apartment is now available for Airbnb bookings.

Airbnb and Warner Bros. worked meticulously to re-create Carrie Bradshaw’s brownstone. Carrie’s laptop is on a desk in a corner, and her closet is packed to the gills with feminine garb and expensive heels like Manolo Blahniks. Check-in will trigger a virtual welcome from Sarah Jessica Parker, who plays the show’s protagonist, written in the show’s signature narrative voice. You can watch this television series on HBO Max.

“Falling for Christmas”

Falling for Christmas is a Netflix rom-com from 2022 that marked Lindsay Lohan’s return. Sierra Beaumont (Lohan), a spoiled yet charming hotel heiress, falls in love with Jake (Chord Overstreet), the proprietor of the adjacent North Star Lodge. When Sierra falls down the mountain, Jake finds her unconscious and concussed, and Sierra can’t remember who she is or where she came from. Jake invites her to remain at the lodge with his daughter and mother-in-law as she tries to recall what happened.

This Christmas romance in a wintry paradise makes us want to plan our next snowy holiday. If the movie location piqued your interest, the production went to Deer Valley, near Park City, Utah. This resort, which hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics, is an affluent location suited for a family winter holiday. Stay in the mountain homes of Goldener Hirsch Luxury Hotel in Deer Valley to get the high-end experience of Sierra’s home resort. In addition, you can see the rooftop pool and hot tub, which earn a lot of screen time.

You may also visit the Blue Boar Inn in Midway, the exterior view of Jake’s old-school ski lodge, to see additional gorgeous spots on your vacation to Utah. So, if you want to have a romantic ski trip like Lindsay Lohan in this Christmas film, Park City is the place to go. It is well-known as Utah’s most famous ski town.
