What is an Indian Visa?

How to Apply for an Indian Visa

1. Your passport with at least six months validity remaining.

2. Two recent passport-sized photos.

4. Proof of financial security (minimum EUR 1,000 per person). This may be in the form of a bank statement or current credit card statement.

5. Your ticket confirmation or boarding pass from your original flight into India (if travelling by air).

How to Travel to India on an Indian Visa

Swedish citizens can travel to India on an Indian visa. Italian citizens can only travel to India on an Indian visa if they are travelling for business purposes.

To apply for an Indian visa, you must first visit the embassy or consulate of India in your home country.

You will need to provide your passport information, a copy of your passport photo page, and a valid visa application form.

You may also be required to provide proof of your hotel reservation and onward tickets.

The embassy or consulate will then process your visa request and send you a letter of approval. You will then need to present this letter of approval when you arrive in India.
