INDIAN VISA DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

Indian citizens have to follow some strict document requirements in order to apply for an Indian visa. In this article, we will discuss the different types of Indian visa documents that you need to submit with your application, as well as the photo requirements you need to meet in order to apply for an Indian visa.

INDIAN VISA PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

The Indian visa photo requirements are the same as the other visa-required countries, with a few exceptions. The following photo requirements must be met for all visa types: INDIAN VISA PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

Your passport photos must be 2-by-2 inches square or smaller. You can take your own photos, or have them taken by a professional photographer. Make sure the photos are clear and in focus. If you are using a digital camera, make sure to use the best quality images possible.

If you are applying for an e-Visa, you will also need to submit a recent color photograph of yourself that meets the size and format requirements.

INDIAN VISA DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS

To visit India as a tourist, you will need a valid passport and a visa. Indian visas are issued on arrival at designated ports of entry.

The passport must be valid for at least six months after your planned departure from India. The visa must be endorsed by the Indian embassy or consulate in your home country.

To apply for an Indian visa, you will need to provide your full name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, and the purpose of your visit. You may also have to provide copies of tickets or documents that prove your financial stability and that you have enough funds to cover your stay in India.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Indian Visa Photo Requirements

As of 01 January 2017, all Indian nationals wishing to visit any country in the world for tourism purposes must have a valid passport and visa. This new requirement applies to both Indian citizens residing in India and foreign nationals travelling on an Indian passport.

To secure a tourist visa, all prospective visitors must present a valid passport which has at least six months remaining after the intended date of travel. In addition, all Indian nationals travelling to Canada will now be required to present a valid Canadian tourist visa in addition to their valid Indian passport. This new policy is set to take effect from 01 January 2017.

All travellers are advised to check the latest requirements with the respective embassies or consulate prior to travelling. Additionally, Indians living abroad who plan on travelling within 60 days of their departure date should also consult an immigration attorney as some consulates may require additional documentation such as proof of financial stability.

NEW UPDATE: Indentification Document Requirements

The Indian Visa Document Requirements have been updated. The new requirements are as follows:

– Applicants must present a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay requested.

– Applicants must have a return or onward ticket, or sufficient funds to support themselves while in India.

– Applicants must provide an itinerary/plan of travel including dates and locations of intended visits.

– Applicants must provide documents verifying their relationship to the person they are visiting (e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate).
