More Obstacles To The Youth Employment In Spain

The reform of the training contracts prepared by Trabajo will impose the obligation for trainees to contribute; therefore, companies will have to bear these payments to Social Security.

Thus, another burden will be imposed on training contracts, in addition to the obligation that they be remunerated according to the agreement and, in most cases, above the Minimum Wage. This toughening of conditions threatens to make the scholarships derived from the agreements between universities and companies unviable, which are so important for those under 25 to gain experience.

In a country with a youth unemployment rate of 37%, it is unjustifiable that Labor imposes even more barriers to labor insertion.
